ACTF News
Throughout 2022, the ACTF and ACMI are collaborating to create a series of virtual workshops that will take you behind the scenes of your favourite Australian kids' TV shows.
First up, we are exploring the power of sound design. Join us on Friday, 1 April to discover the importance of sound design and how it is used to create and build worlds in television.
Serge Lacroix, Sound Designer for Hardball, says: “Sound is 60 per cent of the screen experience.” Why is sound so important in television and film? How does sound help to bring audiences into a screen world? How do professionals create, capture and edit sound into a production?
In this interactive virtual workshop, hear from Australian creative professionals working in sound to discover the behind-the-scenes process of planning, capturing and editing a soundscape.
Following the workshop, teachers will receive resources to continue exploring sound design in the classroom.
