Little Lunch Books: Q&A Webinar with Danny Katz and Mitch Vane

Filmed at the ACTF office, this webinar gave primary students the opportunity to ask Danny Katz and Mitch Vane about their experiences in creating Little Lunch, and how they turned their books into the TV series that followed. The students’ thoughtful questions cover a wide range of topics including:

This webinar links to content in the Literature and Literacy strands for Year 3-6 English, including animated discussions about: characters, setting and events; author’s purpose and audience; and comparing the representation of ideas in different media texts.

The interview is also a great resource for primary teachers of The Arts. Danny and Mitch discuss themes relevant to Drama, Media Arts and Visual Arts, including their sources of inspiration, the intended meaning of their work, and how Mitch’s teacher motivated her to pursue a career in the arts.
