Nominees Announced for BANFF Rockie Awards

Three Australian children’s series have been nominated for this year’s prestigious BANFF World Media Festival Rockie Awards. First Day (Epic Films), Bluey (Ludo Studio) and 100% Wolf (Flying Bark Productions) have been selected across three prize divisions.

First Day is nominated for best ‘Live Action: Children (0-10)’; Bluey will compete in the ‘Animation: Preschool (0-4)’ division and 100% Wolf is a finalist in the ‘Animation: Youth (11-17)’ category.

The BANFF Rockie Awards recognize excellence in global television and digital content. Each year, entries from more than 45 countries compete, and winners are selected by an international industry jury of 150+ senior entertainment and media professionals.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s winners will be announced virtually. The ACTF wishes all nominees the best of luck for the ceremony, which will be livestreamed on June 15.

First Day is produced by Epic Films in association with KOJO Entertainment for ABC TV, with investment from Screen Australia in association with the South Australian Film Corporation, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF). The ACTF distributes First Day internationally.

Bluey is a Ludo Studio production for the ABC, with principal production investment from BBC Studios in association with the ABC and Screen Australia. Financed with support from Screen Queensland.

100% Wolf is a Flying Bark Productions film with principal investment from Screen Australia, in association with Screenwest and Create NSW. Developed with the assistance of Screen Australia.
