The seventh Trop Jr festival kicks off this sunny Sunday 8 December from 11am at its new venue Brazilian Fields in Sydney’s Centennial Park.

Trop Jr is the world's largest short film festival – for kids, by kids. 

It’s free to attend, so bring your picnic blanket and family for a celebration of film and storytelling.

Expect a monster line-up of imaginative shorts with unexpected plotlines, polished effects and an array of wacky characters and costumes.

There will be lots of family friendly entertainment, including a live performance by 15-year-old Alana Patmore winner of  APRA Tropscore.

Audiences will also enjoy a live performance from hip-hop group Beats, followed by a performance from singer Calmell Teagle.

The attending celebrity judges are Dance Academy's Keiynan Lonsdale, Puberty Blues’ Ashleigh Cummings and Nickelodeon’s Luke and Wyatt.

Centennial Park is just minutes from the Sydney CBD and easily accessible by public or private transport.

Keep in mind there is no event patron parking in Centennial Park and taxi’s will not be able to enter the park once the gates have closed.

Centennial Parklands is cycling friendly and there will be a free and secure bike valet service at the event.
