TV Ontario gets Bushwhacked!

The action packed educational series Bushwhacked Series 2 has been acquired by TVO (Canada).

“We are thrilled that TVO has acquired Bushwhacked series 2. There are so many similarities between Canada and Australia – wide open land, rich Indigenous culture and wonderful wildlife, so we hope the Canadian kids love it as much as their Aussie counterparts," said executive producer, Dan Goldberg.

Produced by Mint Pictures, the second series of Bushwhacked! - Series 2, introduces Kayne Tremills’ new co-host, Kamil Ellis. Shot in different locations around Australia, each episode focuses on a mission where Kayne has to track down one of Australia’s most unique or dangerous animals. Crisscrossing Australia in search of adventure and Aboriginal culture, the hosts learn from wildlife experts and Indigenous communities who help Kayne achieve his mission.

"We are excited to add this series to our line-up this season.  ” said Pat Ellingson, Creative Head Children’s and Parents' Media at TVO.

“The whole family can get together; follow the adventures of Kayne and Kamil all while learning about conservation, wildlife, and the culture of Australia.”

With the launch of Series 2 at MIP TV, the popular series has proved to be a favourite with several international broadcasters, with sales of Series 1 & 2 confirmed to Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific Super RTL (Germany), Qantas Inflight Entertainment, Dish Network (USA) and Middle East Media (Middle East).

Bushwhacked! - Series 1 and 2 are distributed by the ACTF.
