ACTF Education has a New Look

ACTF Education now comprises three main sections: ACTF Content, Support Materials, and News and Events. In ACTF Content, you will find our much-loved television programs, films, books and apps. The Support Materials section contains curriculum-aligned teaching resources, videos and podcasts to extend teachers’ knowledge of our content, and links to external websites for some ACTF productions. News and Events lists our latest Education News items, and details for upcoming professional learning opportunities for teachers and eLearning events for students.

One of the great features of the new site is the Education Packages that we have compiled. These packages contain bundled content and support materials, making it easy for teachers to find all related content for our most recent shows. We will be adding additional packages in the coming weeks.

As part of this redesign, we have also updated our education search terms. Curriculum area searches are now better aligned with the Australian Curriculum learning areas and general capabilities, and our list of themes has been refined. Searching for specific content – for example, a Year 5 teacher searching for content related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures – has never been easier.

Mecca Medialight Directors Cass and Luke Wigley focussed on reorganising our content to improve the user experience, and on making the site more visual by emphasising large, high quality images. Following this update, we believe our education content, resources and events are more accessible than ever to teachers Australia-wide.

Please contact us at education@actf.com.au if you have any feedback about the new website, and stay tuned for details of our official website launch – including giveaways for teachers!
