Have Your Say On The Future Of Australian Film And TV

The House of Representatives’ Standing Committee on Communications and the Arts has announced that it will conduct an inquiry into “factors contributing to the growth and sustainability of the Australian film and television industry”.

The Committee has invited submissions and these are due by the 31st of March. There will also be public hearings at a date to be determined.

The ACTF will be making a submission on the major contribution that Australian children’s content has made to the Australian film and television industry over more than three decades, why it is currently vulnerable and why support for the industry should prioritise locally produced Australian children’s content.  If you, or your school or organisation, would like to make a submission to the inquiry, you can make a submission through the Committee’s website here.
